The pop icon had an estimated fortune of £105million when he died
The pop icon, who passed away on Christmas Day from natural causes, and sister Melanie Panayiotou, 55, are said to have always been very close.
And following his death, she has reportedly moved into his Highgate property while she plans his funeral with other family members.
The Wham! star's other sister, Yioda, 57, is also believed to be getting a large chunk of his estimated $105million fortune.
A source told The Sun: “George was very close to his whole family but he had a particularly special bond with Melanie, who was by his side at the height of his fame.
“She adores the Highgate house, one of the first he bought. They shared some wonderful times there and it has a special place in her heart. Melanie is staying there at the moment while she organises the funeral.”
Meanwhile, George's cousin has claimed the late singer's lover Fadi Fawaz has snubbed his family since his death.
Andros Georgiou alleged Fadi had a £10,000 a month retainer agreement with the Careless Whisper star - and suggested he doesn't expect him to be in his will.
"Fadi disappeared after George's death. He was never a part of the family because he and George just had an arrangement," he told The Sun on Sunday.
"It was just business, really. But he was still the last person to see George alive, and if he had any respect for the family he would have got in touch."
It comes after Fadi reportedly said he didn't know anything about the singer's funeral and added that "everything is being kept quiet".
Andros also took to Facebook on Saturday night to ask fans to be respectful about funeral arrangements, and to thank everyone for the outpouring of support following his death.
"I know so many of you would want to be there to be able to say your last Goodbye," he wrote as he urged fans not to attend the funeral.
"Please let him be put to rest with as much respect and dignity as possible."
The pop icon is expected to be laid to rest this week.
